For regular donors

When you make a donation to Thousand 4 £1000, you may give us your name and contact details. If you do, we’ll send you a one-off email to thank you for your donation, and to let you know about other ways you can support us. We will also use your information to claim Gift Aid, if you fill in our Gift Aid form.

We will not use the information for any other reason, or share it with third-parties. We will not add you to a general mailing list or send you general fundraising appeals unless you ask to be added to our mailing list.

Your personal details will be stored securely. If you would like to know what information we hold about you, or would like us to delete your details, please contact us.

Depending on how you make your donation, your data may be processed by a third-party company. See the information below about how your data will be processed.

Text donations via Donr

If you make a regular or one-off donation by text, your personal data will be stored and processed by Donr in line with their privacy policy and systems. Your financial details will not be shared with us. For information about how your data is processed by Donr please see their privacy policy.

If you sign up for Gift Aid, we will ask Donr to pass on your contact details to us, so that we can reclaim the Gift Aid. Otherwise, we won’t request your contact details from Donr.

Donating via GoCardless

If you set up a Direct Debit via GoCardless, your personal data will be stored and processed by GoCardless in line with their privacy policy and systems. Donations via PayPal

If you donate to us via the PayPal Giving Fund (this is the platform used to collect donations on Facebook), your personal data will be stored and processed by PayPal in line with their privacy policy and systems. Completing the Gift Aid form on our website

If you complete the Gift Aid form on our website, we will store your details securely so that we can claim gift aid on your donation.

For people who attend our events

If you book a ticket for one of our events, using Eventbrite, we will collect your name and email address, for the purpose of providing you with a ticket to the event, and communicating with you about the event.

We process this data on the basis of legitimate interest.

We may contact you once after the event, to offer you the option of being added to our mailing list. We will also offer you this option at the point of booking a ticket.

For people who sign up to our mailing list

We will use your contact details to send you a monthly newsletter and occasional information about how you can help support Thousand 4 £1000.

We process this data on the basis of consent.

Our emails will always include an “unsubscribe” link, which you can click to be removed from the list.
