The Jollof Cafe is run by our sister organisation, the Sussex Refugee and Migrant Self Support group. It is a space organised by a group of people who are on the wrong side of the immigration system. The cafe runs every Wednesday afternoon, 1-3pm at West Hill Hall, Compton Avenue, Brighton. All of the proceeds go to support destitute members of the self-support group. It is a wonderful example of what hospitality actually looks like.

We work very closely with the Sussex Refugee and Migrant Self Support group. We are always at the Jollof Cafe and it’s the place where we meet people and get to know them as we establish what kind of support we can provide. We strongly encourage residents to join in with the cafe because it is one way of ensuring that you remain at the centre of your case and in control of what steps you take to resolve your immigration status. If you are on the wrong side of the border regime, and would appreciate being part of the mutual self-support group, please get in touch.

Whether or not you need support from T4K, come down to the Jollof Cafe and experience the joy of diversity in action.
